Partner Endeavor replacment processor

I'm replacing my processor in a 5 slot carrier system. So far I've been sent 2 Endeavor processors and 1 5-slot carrier because I can't get anything besides the processor and the 362EC in slot 1 to function. It seems that these replacement processors came out of a 2-carrier system and I'm seeing in the maual that it is necessary to install the upgrade card to change from 2-slot to 5 slot carrier. Any confirmation of that need would be appreciated.

I've never touched the Endeavor (it isn't a very common version), so I can't say for sure if you need to flash it to use it in a 5 module carrier. Some of the more experienced Avaya techs should be able to answer the question.

The next time the system has any kind of a failure, upgrading the processor and expansion module to the regular Partner ACS platform would well be worth considering.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

working on Partners since 1999 and have installed tons of them, but I have never even seen an endeavor.
So sorry I have no clue

A Partner ACS R5 or newer will support your 362 modules. I would not even bother with an evdeavor processor, and just use an ACS processor.

BUT the ACS processor will only support Partner phones and the Endeavor cards will only support the Endeavor phones, so you would have to phase out the endeavor phones and introduce Partner phones.

Attached is a cut and paste from the Partner ACS R7.0 Programming Manual:

PARTNER ACS 7.0 supports PARTNER Endeavor telephones when an Endeavor 362EC module
is installed in the carrier. The Endeavor telephones include:

? PARTNER Endeavor-18
? PARTNER Endeavor-6

Let me rephrase. When you install an ACS R5, R6, or R7 the 8 or 9 extension ports ON THE PROCESSOR will only support ACS phones,
and the re-used 362EC Cards will only support Endeavor phones
