I have a 206 R4.1 Card. I know this is a very basic system. It is for a small Mom and Pop type store. We have 2 CO lines and 4 extensions. We have connected a standard store bought phone to the system so we can answer calls from in the back warehouse. The only problem we seem to be having is how to put calls on hold or transfer a call. I can use the flash button to get to the system intercom but I am not sure if there are any codes that can allow us to put calls on hold or transfer them. Any help would be great!!!

When you press the flash button you can then dial an extension to transfer to that extension. You would press flash, dial the extension, and then end the call to complete the transfer.

Hold will not work with the single-line cordless that I am aware of.

I think that, in that instance, the hold button would only serve as an extension specific feature. It is similar to how a hold button on a SLT operates on a Merlin Magix system.

I [love2] "FEATURE 00"

If it were a Partner Plus or Partner II or Partner ACS instead of the Basic Partner System, you would flash and dial your OWN extension number to place a call on hold from a single line extension. Anyone can retrieve it from a multiline extension, and the single line extension can dial 6 (the pickup code) and their own extension number to get it back. This also means that you want to be sure and program the auto line select for the single line extension to Intercom and then the various lines.
