Our small business has a Partner ACS system with 4 lines that is approx. 10 years old. It has worked fine until this afternoon the phones started making a pickup/hangup sound and powering off and back on all on their own. We cannot receive or make any calls since it powers off/on every 45-60 seconds. For the life of us we cannot figure out what the problem is.

We have tried the following with no success:
- Turning off and back on the main control box (not sure if that's the correct term, forgive me)
- Unplugging the main box and waiting 10 seconds and plugging it back in.
- Checked all the lines with another phone and confirmed that the lines are working.

Has anyone had this happen to them? We are tearing our hair out over here. Any help or words of advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I would power the system down. Pull each of the cards out and then push them back into place making sure you feel them pushed in all the way. Once you have done that with each card, power the system back on. See is that cures it. If not, see what lights are on at the system itself. each module should have a solid green light. no light, a red light, or a flashing green light are all bad.

Sounds like a bad power supply on one of your modules, likely your processor module, probably overheating and the unit needs to be replaced.

Is the unit loud?

Is the Partner plugged into a UPS? I have seen it so many times where the UPS is going bad and causes the Partner to reboot many times.
