I have installed a new Partner ACS for a customer and it has remote call forwarding as a feature. I have enabled the feature for the customer so he can forward calls to his cell phone when he is out of the office. The problem we are having is when the caller comes in (through the AA) and hits this particular users extension, the system makes the transfer. While the transfer is made the customer hears "your call is being transferred", a few moments of silence then a loud SCREECH. It is short in duration and after the screech, the transfer is successfully completed. Has anyone heard of this problem or have any ideas to eliminate the screech.

Thanks

I get the same squeel on the initiation of a conference call. Then the call works fine.

Go to the demarc and with a butt set go off hook there, but listen as you do it, screech there give it to your LEC, they may have a wrong option on their end

we did. He and I went to the d-marc and he hooked up his butt-set. We initiated the call and listened. When the screech occured he pulled the bridge clips off of the 66 block and screeching did not continue. That was his justification that it was good to the d-marc.

If you/he was at the demarc, and you pulled dial tone with the butt set and heard the screech,it should out in his world, the only way to prove it is to have the demarc open to start, draw Dial tone and listen,it should go away when you hear the DT, same as when you pull DT for conf call or call forward, it's usually only on there when you go off hook and stops when DT comes on.
How far are you from the CO, is the LEC giving you conditioned lines or straight pots service, do they go thru a SLC or D4 bank? sounds like it's LEC's trouble, so to prove you have to go to the demarc, open it there and pull DT while listning with a butt set!
You could also take a DB reading there to see what's coming in from them.
