I am experiencing random issues with the DTMF that is being sent on a Partner ACS R7 V1. Sporatically on different phones you can dial the same outside number and 20% of the calls will get a message from the carrier that the number was dialed incorrectly. I am trying to find out if this could be an issue with the DTMF being sent. Is there a tone card built into the processor or the expansion cards. This sytem is using all 206E's for the additional stations. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot or diagnose if this is a hardware issue?

are they using speaker phone or picking up the handset?

sometimes the speaker is sensitive in a room with funny acoustics. try turning off the MIC if they are using speaker and see what happens.

the other choice is try 308ECs instead of 206 modules

The best thing to do is to hook a test set directly to the line and make calls. If it still happens, it's not the partner and you save yourself some pain and misery of troubleshooting it further. If it works fine outside the partner, then you need to start seeing if it is every line, only one line, which phone extensions and which modules do they plug into.

I had an instance the an adtran channel was not recognizing the touch tones from the partner.

It wasn't until I had a vendor meet and showed him on a digit grabber that the the system WAS sending the digits. He said Yup i guess it's us and I left.

I assume they replaced the channel bank.
