New partner installed 1 week ago is now starting to drop calls during conversations?? Anybody !

Some more information might help things along.

What modules are installed in the system? How many lines & stations? Is it only station having the problem or multiple users? Can the problem be narrowed down to a specific telelphone line? Do multiple users get dropped at the same time, or is it only 1 person?

Let us know! [smile]

Will find out about this tommorrow. 5 lines 8 stations; R7 5x9
w/ partner messaging for vm
Thanks

customer states that more than one user get dropped at same time. Possible Acs processor is going bad?

Yup, sounds like a processor problem if multiple POTs line calls are being dropped at the same time. Assuming there are no power related issues. [thumbsup2]

Thank You for all of your help

if you dont have it one a UPS I would put one in before replacing the processor

OK, here is a cheap way to see if you have a power issue that interupts power. Put power strip in, Plug the ACS power cord into same power strip, also plug in an alarm clock that goes to flashing midnight if the thing gets unplugged. After the issue occurs, look for flashing misnight.
I know it is cheesey, but I am from Wisconsin.

aarenot, That's BRILLIANT! Sometimes the easiest/cheapest solutions are the best. Just make sure the alarm clock doesn't have a battery backup of it's own! [wink]

BTW, if you can be cheesy from WI, can I be corney from IA? [wiggle]

You can be corney from IA, I have a customer there in Peosta, but they are not corney. I do think it is a bit fruity for them to pay my rate to drive from WI to IA to service their equipment, but corporate is in WI, and they write the checks to us, so I say, let em be corney, fruity, or whatever. My check cashes on Friday, so it is all good.

Easy, cheap, that and finding out what the problem is not are the keys to troubleshooting, or so my Dad says.
