Currently we have a Partner ACS R7 on a 5 Slot carrier with Partner messaging, and a 308EC. The extensions are not in consecutive order. They number 10-18, 25 - 32.

Prsent Hardware:
Slot 1 = Messaging
Slot 2 = 308EC
Slot 3 = ACS R7 Processor
Slot 4 = Empty
Slot 5 = Empty

To get the extensions in order should the hardware look like the following:

Slot 1 = 308EC
Slot 2 = Messaging
Slot 3 = ACS R7 Processor
Slot 4 = Empty
Slot 5 = Empty

Thanks in advance

That's correct. You will also need to change the ports assigned to Hunt Group #7.

Thank you much. Wow...and I thought it would be a simple hardware swap. Whats the process to change the port assignments?

The first step is to determine what ports will need to be assigned to Hunt Group #7.

Ports 10->18 are located on the processor, 19->26 are covered by the 308EC.

That means, depending on weather you have a 2,4 or 6 port license for the Avaya Partner Messaging, you would assign, assuming my math is correct [wink], ports 27->28 (2 port license), 27->30 (4 port license) or 27->32 (6 port license).

You would also remove the existing ports currently assigned to Hunt Group #7 as they will no longer be valid.

"#505" is where you will be able to reassign the ports in Hunt Group #7. You can access that option at either extension #10 or extension #11.
