Can anyone tell me if you can use Remote Call Forward on the R6 with POTS lines? I got an email from Avaya tech support saying that you must have the Partner T1 Module in place to use this feature. But, in the R6 programming manual, it says you can use either the T1 Module or POTS lines for this feature. Thanks!!

Yes, you can use POTS lines for RCF. The volume is not great, and uses 2 lines per call. Give it a try and see what you think.

Thank you for sharing. I have never programmed this particular feature before but there is a first time for everything, right? :)

If you want RCF with simultaneous alert you need a T-1 but not RCF.

Sorry that should be cell phone connect not simultaneous alert.

A buddy of mine claims that a Centrex transfer can be done by inserting a "Flash" at the beginning and end of the RCF phone number (entered in the speed dial list). If true, this would prevent two lines from being taken up during the call forward AND preserve the sound quality.

However, I don't have immediate access to a Partner to test this story.

Has anyone tried dagwoodsystems theory? Would love to hear more...
