Ten years ago we bought this house with a Partner II system supporting two copper lines. I upgraded it about 2004 to Partner ACS R6 with a 308EC R3 module in a 2-slot carrier. I installed and programmed the new system myself. F59 on my system shows P ACS R6.0 C01
Now would like to find the easiest way to fix one nagging problem: Daylight Saving Time is not corrected to the new post-2007 rules.
I have scanned this forum and online and found mention of several newer firmware versions: R6.0.B, R6.0.4, R6.0.3S.
What is the most recent firmware for this discontinued ACS system?
Can I fix the DST problem without getting into the problem seen when CID sets the system time? What Firmware Revision fixes the CID issue, or is the workaround (turn off setting system time from CID) sufficient?
I would prefer an upgrade PC card to connecting with a computer. My two PC card slots are currently occupied by the 4-box Voicemail and the Backup and Restore cards. I don't have the Remote Admin PC card, or the software, to upgrade the firmware that way. Just reading the manual on that process was enough to give me nightmares.
If I called Avaya to get a technician here for this, my guess is that they no longer support ACS and I'm on my own, (which I have been so far by choice). I would be willing to pay a tech if I can find one.
Is it possible to call Avaya and buy the PC upgrade card I need?
Any suggestions appreciated.
Rob
