I have a Partner ACS R6.0 with partner messaging and I'm getting a busy signal when trying to reach my voicemail. Should I just pull it out and try to reseat it?

I would first check to make sure that the correct extensions are assigned to the voicemail. (Try to Intercom the extensions and see if you get the system to answer or simply get a busy signal.

The times I've seen a busy condition when trying to access the voicemail system, it's always been a failed hard drive.

After backing up the ACS's programming, power the system down, reseat the Partner Messaging module and power the system back up. Listen to the hard drive. If it makes a lot of noise or even fails to spin up, then the drive is defective.

It may also work properly after the restart and then stop after a while.

Give us more info, like carrier type, card types and order, we should be able to tell you the proper port number for the VM ports. If you need any help with that.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

If system is an existing and was working correctly, power the system down count to 15 the power it back up.sometimes the hard drive will lock up.(similar to a cpu).
