Hello, I have a partner acs R5 system with a 308EC R1 expansion, a Partner messaging R1 & a Partner messaging 2 port card. I also have a Backup/Restore PC Card. All housed in a 5 slot holder.

I use the Partner Messaging R1.0 Admin software to administer the VM functions and now I would like to use the Partner ACS R6 PC Administration software release 6.0, version 6.0.0.6.

My problem is, I connect to VM via the LAN but the PC admin must connect via modem. That's where I run in to the problem. Everything seems to point to ext 76 as the internal modem but trying to connect or transfer to that modem fails. I did read that perhaps I need a remote administration card? Does anyone know if this is true? Do I have to buy this or does my current config have an internal modem and I am missing something else.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the response. What can I say, I bought the phone system used only the VM unit was new. Any sggestions on where I can get and how much it will cost? So I can throw away the backup/Restore card?

NO, its a plain old Backup/Restore PC Card that I bought to backup the existing phone programming. So it looks like I have to buy the backup/restore card. Does the purchase of this also upgrade me from a R5 to R6? Any idea how much?

Yes you can get a one time R6 upgrade , backup and restore, remote card. it will give a one time upgrade to R6 then it's just a backup and remote card.

Thank you for your time and effort answering my questions. It is very much appreciated!

So can you recommend where I could get one of these and how much should it cost me? Thanks again,

Scott.

They list for 500, but we usualy sell them for about 385. I'm sure allot of techs on the board can get them for you. If not give me a call.
