Hi,

Pardon my ignorance, I'm a bit of a novice at this.

For all incoming calls on a single phone line, can a Partner ACS V4.0 system give a voice prompt (press 1 for this, press 2 for that) and then forward the calls to an external number based on what the caller selects? Note these are not physical extensions, I'd like to route the calls externally.

Again, this is for incoming calls only on a single incoming line. The other 4 lines will continue to operate as before, with extensions and mailboxes.

Don't quite speak the lingo yet so I'm not sure what it's called and what to look for. But I do have the manual so if you can point me in the right direction I can look it up.

Thanks in advance.

You need an ACS R6.0 or above for remote call forwarding. Note that forwarding off-site using the Partner ACS R6 or higher and POTS lines requires the use of 2 POTS lines. The call comes in on the first line and is transferred out on the next line. Both of those lines would be occupied for the duration of the call.

You could also get Centrex services from the phone company, which would allow you to flash, dial an external number, and then disconnect, which would transfer the call to the outside number and free up the line for another call. This would require a Partner Messaging (NOT Partner Voice Messaging PC Card), and you can only transfer from single digit selector codes, not extension numbers.
