Partner ACS PMVSr5 transfer to multiple extensions 1

ACS r3.3 with PMVS r5 with 3 incoming lines and 10 extensions. I want to program a message for each incoming line and then after the message completes allow the caller to choose 1 for department "A" and ring on extension 15 or choose 2 for department "B" and have the system transfer the call so that it will ring on all (or most) other extensions. Can anyone help?
 
Put the extensions into a calling group, such as number 2 (#502-2-(Ext. No.)-2, then have Selector Code transfer to Ext. 72

Now, you will have a problem if no one answers. If you have programmed the VS mail according to the manual, the transferred call will ring forever. If, however, you set the Transfer Return Extension setting for each of the voicemail ports to themselves instead of Ext. 10, the transfer will return to the VS mail, be answered with "Transferring to Receptionist", then transfer to Ext. 10 (and finally cover to Ext. 10's mailbox if not answered)

 
I now using ACS 3.0 and Partner Messaging r7. Should I change anything from Partner Mail 5 settings that you suggested?
I set up the system as stated above but when I select (selector code) 1 to transfer, it says "cannot transfer"

Am I correct that Calling Group 1 corresponds to ext 71, 2=72, 3=73, 4=74, 5=75 and 6=76.

I have selector code programmed to transfer to ext 71 or Group 1 which contains ext 10, 12, 16, 17, 29, 30, 31 & 32

Now when I select 1 when auto attendent 1 say press 1 for x and 2 for y, all that rings is ext 17

If I press Intercom 71 it rings on all of the above extensions.

Any ideas?
 
4 Calling Groups: 1=Ext. 71, 2=Ext. 72, 3=Ext. 73, and 4=Ext. 74

No 75 or 76 (76 is actually the remote access modem)

I would double check the programming on the selector code, make sure that it transfers to Ext. 71 and not 17

The Partner Messaging has Transfer Restrictions turned on by default, so you can not transfer to 71 unless you either create a mailbox or give 71 Transfer Only Permissions.

Since you have stepped up to Partner Messaging, you can now get voicemail coverage for the group if no one answers.
 
Ok I changed selector code 1 to transfer to extension 72. But after exiting messaging setup it reverts back to extension 78. What am I doing wrong?
 
You've gone to Extensions, put in 72#, and pressed 2 to assign Transfer Only Permissions?

Then in the automated attendant (No. 1? Day Mode?), press 6 to modify, 1 for selector code 1, 1 for Selector Code Transfer, 72# for transfer to Ext. 72, *# to finish changing selector codes, # to save and exit without changing the recording.
 
OK, the problem was that I wasn't hitting # after *, # to save my settings.

I'm just not sure what you mean by "gone to extensions". When I try to access extension 72 by Feature, 0,0, left int, left int, right int then enter 72, I get stopped after entering a 7. Is that what you meant or is there a system programming code that I should use?
 
No, in the Partner Messaging system administrator's mailbox, (Intercom 777, 0#, password#, 9), option 2 in the menu is extensions. You are prompted for extension number and # sign, dial 72#. If it says "This extension has transfer only permission", you're done, hang up. If you get a menu that says "to assign a mailbox press 1, to assign transfer only permission press 2, to assign to an automated attendant press 3", pick option 2. If it said "to administer the name press 1" then press *3-9 and start over.
 
Quick question. I want to change Automated Attendant #1's announcement. I press Intercom, 777, 0#, (PW),9, 3,1,1 but I don't get a prompt for changing the announcement. I recorded it but can't remember how to change it. What am I doing wrong or not doing right? Thanks.
