Partner ACS paging conumdrum

I have a Partner ACS rel. 7 and a Bogen PCM2000 interface and 2 Bogen 100w amps. On the bench, we took an analog phone, connected it directly to the TIM, picked up the receiver, got our tones, and dialed 01 to page zone A. That worked and went in and out of the Bogen amp.

Then we took an 18 button, hooked it to ext. 26 (spare), connected the Partner's page out port to the TIM, reconfigured the dips to conform to Page Ports with contact closure. Got intercom, dialed 70, but no signal went out.

To summarize, the page port works independently of the page controller, and the page controller works independently of the Partner.

Can't seem to get both to work together.

Don't know what to tell you if you have the Bogen dip switches set correctly. Should work. Make sure that your connecting cords are good and that they are 2 pair (4 wire).

You might try putting a banjo test adapter on the page port with the Bogen connected to the other end with a line cord. Make a page (I70) and short with a clip lead the contact closure pins (2&5) together and see what happens. This way you know that there is a contact closure. You can at the same time connect a butt set in monitor mode to the audio pins (3&4) to confirm that audio is present.

If audio is indeed present, the contact closure pins are shorted together with the clip lead and still nothing you have a problem with the Bogen.

If the clip lead makes it work or there is no audio then there is a problem with the page port.

I am looking for a Partner ACS processor that supports CID, Voicemail, call accounting or SMDR, and loudspeaker paging. I hear the release 6 is the one I need. Any help?

Thanks for the response. Nice to know that someone else is concerned about our little problem. Ok, It works. The dip switches for the 2500 set worked, but had to change to the dips for the page port. The correct config is for the loop start trunk port. It's off,off,on,on,on,off,off or oo|||oo. Accidently had it on the analog station port config.

Yeah, start you own thread. Just so you know all ACS's offer these features. The R6 and R7 are new, anything else will be used or refurb. Beware there are plenty of R6's in that category because unscrupulous people have upgraded old ACS's to an R6. Can't do that with an R7 but they have bugs of their own.
