Partner ACS Ext Phone continuous ring

Greetings,
I use a Partner ACS system with MLS-12D phones.
Today the phone at extention 19 began ringing on line 3 for a prolonged time (consider "continuous")until the receiver is lifted. It continued the weird behavior about 3 minutes after the receiver was replaced.
Any suggestions as to why this is now occurring?

Wow, that was fast!!!
Actually, I did replace it (swapped) with one that was on an extension that was rarely used.
The problem continued.
 
continued with the phone that you moved or the port ?

what release ACS ?

seems like had a similar problem on a Rel 6 and wound up programing around the line and not using it
 
The same extension, #19.
The original phone from that extension...now at #24 seems to be working just fine.

so the new phone now rings on 19 ?

but no other phones have a problem on line 3

then it sounds like a ACS problem with the 308
do you have a spare station port ?

just bypass 19

or you could try a reset
 
maybe some kind of nasty AC voltage on the line, is this the only set that rings on the line 3?
If this set doesn't ring on line 3 then is the AutoLineSelect set to pick that line up first, try changing it to intercom first, it might be a bad wire then.

The clue is, he said it rang continuously. CO lines don't ring continuously without a pause! -The six second ring cycle: 2 seconds on, 4 seconds off.- Since it is an R1.0 you might want to update to a more current processor, firmware, and features, unless power cycling fixes it.
