I have a Partner ACS R6 with 2 door phones. They use ATT call notes for VM. I have 2 door phones that continue to ring forever if no one answers the call at the alert stations. I tried to install a VM pc card in the ACS and program a mailbox for an alert station (40) but it never answers the call. I can call direct to alert station and VM answers properly. It seems the door phone call is on the second IC path at the alert station, not sure if that matters. Any thoughts?

There are timers you can play with inside the door phones for disconnect time. Are these Avaya door phones (viking)? Are they connected to the system as station ports or on line ports?

They are Avaya door phones with call timers only (established call time out) and are on station ports 38 and 39, I have seen this problem posted here but the only fix was VM answering the call, I just can't get it to answer from the door phones. My next thought was to run a line cord from station port 40 (alert port) to line port 3 and have voicemail answer that line. Hopefully the port ringing will activate the line port 3 ringing so VM will answer. Will have to go back later and try this approach. Your thoughts on that.

I've never tried this before...but...would substituting a standard SLT and protective enclosure...if needed...resolve this issue? By using an SLT, you have the ability to create an on-hook condition.
