Hey everyone. I just completed a nice little access control job and now the customer would like it tied into their phone system. I have a door phone mounted and everything programmed for the door phone extensions and contact closure buttons. The door phone works like a charm. Unfortunately the adjunct is apparently a rare unicorn now. So, I ordered a Viking LDB-1. I have figured out which pins close when the contact closure button is pressed.
My question is does anyone have experience of how I should wore up the ldb-1? I'm assuming current does not need to be feeding through that contact closure for fear of damaging the phone system.
Has anyone used this set up?
Thanks for any help!

Has anyone ever used this set up or have another idea?

How is door phone interfaced to phone system? Just put a DTMF-activated contact closure, such as Viking RC2A in line to release door. The loop current detector wouldn't be my first choice...

The door phone runs into an extension. I talked to Viking this morning. They are sending me a SRC-1.
They said to wire it in between the door phone and the pbx and that would allow the 3 extensions in the door phone group to all work the relay. No Ned for the onboard contact closure.
