Hi all, normally I do network wiring, but am putting in a Partner ACS and have some really 101 basic questions if someone could be so kind and patient to answer them.
1). Are the in-line fuses that go on cross connects on a 66 block a good idea to install as a normal install item?
2). Can I ground the ACS to the circuit breaker panel box? It is the only ground anywhere near by, as all nearby plumbing is plastic.
3). This is a home office … can/should I add the personal home # to the lines on the ACS for convenience sake? The rest of the house is wired in a loop topology. The home office is Star topology.
4). As for a choice for wiring order - USOC, 568A, or 568B?
5). There's an ACS at the office office, as well as this home office - is there any worthwhile way to get two ACS's to work together?
A Verizon telco questions:
A. Can all the outside lines show the same number/info for caller ID? So all outbound calls show the main number/ID?
Thanks very much in advance - Lewis
