I have a customer out in the field that wants something a little odd. The system is squared with line appearence and extension appearences on all of the phones.

I can think of a way to make it happen. He wants when calls are transfered to a extension, he wants that extension to ring but also have that extension appearence flash at the other extensions not ringing. They want to know where that call was transfered to and not pay attention to the actual line. It is kind of hard to explain. Any ideas?

Hi Richard,
Well, there is no reason to have all the line appearances. I would change the system to hybrid mode to conserve buttons on the phones. The only information available will be on the target phone. The display will show the originating set. No one else will see that information as the system is not designed to do that.
Odd application.

Hi Mongo5150,
Yup. Partner II and ACS will both work in hybrid mode. You can set the lines into pools. ACS is a software switch with password (I'll look it up for you if you need). The Partner II has a physical switch on the main processor card.
Neat huh?

I dont recall seeing it in the manual? Is it a feature code? Please hook me up MFurrer@charter.net

For the ACS there is a feature code to change it to hybrid mode. Go into programming and do #198. It will ask for a password. The password for hybrid mode is 8632852(lucent spelled backwards and 2). To change it back to key mode the password is 8632851. For the Partner II there is a switch on the bottom right corner of the right side of the processor. It says KF, MF. KF is key mode and MF is hybrid.
