For background see thread688-1163303. Based on that thead info we want to upgrade to a 4 port card instead to of the 2 port. I want to do this without losing our current automated attendant settings and mailboxes. Feature 59 gives me ACS R4.0 C01. The voicemail looks like v7.0.42 from the rs232 hyper terminal. First off the card I am looking at is part # 700262462. Will this work for our system? Is there any documentation for an upgrade? Avaya wants $250. Thanks for your help in advance.

yes it will work with you system. You should back up the voicemail first, then power off the voicemial, then plug the new 4 port in. you will then have to assign the next 2 ports to hunt group 7. so you should have a total of 4 ports assign to hunt group 7.

Thanks gknight1. Assigning to hunt group 7 will still apply to 2 auto attendants and 2 separate companies? My end goal is to divide the 15 lines that I have coming into our box and routing a portion to Auto attendant 1 and a portion to auto attendant 2. I will go ahead and order the card.

Thanks jifitz

yes, assigning the 2 new extensions to hunt 7 is like "opening" the next 2 ports for voicemail. you are simply adding 2 additional ports.

Thanks for your help it is worth a star to me. Until net time.

not a problem, thats what this forum is for. give a little, take a little. good luck!
