I have a new Partner 8.0 12E. When I have the PMVS PCMCIA and the RAU card installed. Calling extension 76, the modem rings 3 times answers and doesn't give modem tone. So, then the programmer doesn't connect. This occurs at default, without any programming. If I remove the PMVS the modem answers properly and connects to the programmer. Any ideas?????

Partner 8.0 RAU and PMVS

I would say go with the US Robitics modem plugged into the Admin Port. If you really are stuck using the RAC then I would start replacing equipment to test. Try a different RAC card, different PMVS, different processor. I would start with the RAC since it is the least costly piece of equipment.
