Swapped a Norstar with a Partner 8.0
Client has quite a few paging speakers that are self-amplified at 25 watts with power supply units.
The Norstar was a very old version and had a funky little set-up to get paging to work.
This setting will not work with the Partner, so I have to find a cheaper solution.
I was wondering if a UPAM module would work in this situation or does anyone have any other ideas?

Partner will work just fine with self-amplified speakers.

Pick a CO line port, and program it as a paging port. The best one to use is CO-5, because it will also have a contact closure if needed.

Then just dial Intercom 70 for loudspeaker paging.

Add phones to calling group 1, you can dial Intercom *70 for Simultaneous Paging.

I know the Partner will work fine with self-amped speakers.

The problem I have is the connection between the amps and the Partner unit itself.

I think the Norstar had some sort of contact closure wired to this older interface between the system and the amps.

I am looking for an inexpensive way to wire the partner page port to the speakers. What interface would be used?

It should be that simple.
Good luck
