Never ran into this one. Client does not have a backup card and is set to automatically save to the internal memory.
One of our techs went out and tried to save to the card creating the invalid ard in display. He then saved correctly to the internal memory, but display did not clear.
Reboot has not cleared it.
How do I get that message out of the display?

did you do a hard reboot or just a #728 reboot?
when in doubt pull the plug take the batteries out and restore the programming. Before that I would do a backup to the laptop btw just in case it loses the internal memory.

I enjoy every moment of it :)

Also, make sure automatic backups are not set to the pc card. This will cause the message to remain as well.

There is a system programming code to clear the message. It is one of the 3 codes related to backup/restore, #123/124/125, and is one digit more than the normal parameters. Without a system in front of me, I don't have it at my fingertips.

Try #123, then 5 to start.

To change the setting for Backup Programming—Automatic:
1. Check that only one Backup/Restore PC Card is in the processor module.
2. Press f00ss#123 at extension 10 or 11.
The current setting appears.
3. To change the setting, press D or d until the setting you want appears, or press
r to return the setting to the factory setting. The possible settings are:
? 1 = Active
? 2 = Not Active (the factory setting)
? 3 = Backup Alarm Cleared
4. Exit programming mode.

But since it has internal memory in addition to the PC card, 123's options are

1 - Active Internal
2 - Active PC Card
3 - Not Active
4 - Backup Alarm Cleared

I never knew this, it is amazing after 10 years of working with this stuff I still learn new things. Mostly here though as I stopped working on Partners regularly about 2 years ago and just play around sometimes with it because I like the system and to support colleagues that get stuck.
Guys have a star each for this.
