Hey All

Having a bit of an issue I have my voicemail programmed with menu's and the AA is setup, Whats happening when i call into teh business is the voicemail is picking up and says "You call is being transfered" It is also picking up on the first ring but i have it set to 4 not sure why? That is what happens and send the call to the operator. I have my day menu recorded but it is not playing it, can anyone tell me why? Any help greatly appreciated.

that has been done 42 43 44 45 in HG7

you probably used the wrong extensions then, what is your setup and what type of voicemail are you using

I have a 5 Slot Carrier 2 X 308EC v3.0, 1 ACS Proc Unit 4.0, Partner Messaging 4Port Config in Carrier is, From Left to right (Empty, 308, ACS PROC, 308, VMail) Extensions should be 42 43 44 45 according to maunal, Now if i intercom 42 and 43 it says "welcome to partner messaging"
but if i intercom 44 and 45 nothing happens. If I intercom 40 and 41 I get exactly what it says when you call into business "Your call is being transfered"

Tried assigning 40 41 42 43 to HG7 but still doesnt pick up correctly. Any other ideas?

if I see that correctly then you have the far left slot empty, that should not be on the partner, move all cards to the left and then assign extensions 32-35 for voicemail.
If you want to keep this setup then assign 38-41 for voicemail as the empty slot counts as a 206 card in the partner but I would move the cards to the correct position.

Thanks Westi worked good now here is last thing promise heh,

When i dial in i get a fax tone picking up, if i dial in right away afterwards then i get the proper AA what is causing that fax tone?

Does a fire or burglar alarm share any of the telephone lines?

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

are you sure it is a fax or is it a modem, they sound almost the same but you can tell the difference if you listen closely, if it is a modem then Dexman is right and it is a fire alarm or alarm system.
Try calling the main number, let it ring twice or three times or let the Auto Attendant answer, hang up and then dial it again if it happens then take the alarm and put it on a different line as this would indicate the alarm system, then don't forget to tell the alarm company that you moved it.
