I have a TOSHIBA laptop with a 10 GB HDD.
This was partitioned into
C: - 4GB
D: - 4GB
E: - 2Gb
All were FAT32 partitions
On the C: I had a dual boot WIN98/WIN2000 os

I accidentally allowed the recovery CD of the laptop to go ahead

Suddenly, I saw the message on the screen,
Creating Partition C: (FAT32)

In a flash, I reached out and put my laptop off.
Now, I can't see anything except a single partition called
*:

Is there a way to restore my earlier partition table?
What do i do to get my valuable data on drives D and E
I had only application and no data on drive C

Please help

I was able to download a utility at the web address

I got this address from the fdisk.com web page. However, I dont remember from which link on the fdisk page.

But this software was able to recover both my lost partitions on my 10GB hdd and also give me the options to restore them perfectly.

If you can get into another operating system, without touching the unallocated space, you will be able to use PartitionMagic 6.0 to recover the partition. This is an option only in Windows, so you would need to a Win98,2000 etc, then right-click (in PM6) the unallocated and choose undelete.
