New to the Cisco CM world, and need some assistance...

1. I've added an H.323 gateway to tie our Cisco CM to one of our VoIP PBXs.

2. Calls into the Cisco system work when the extension is on the local Partition. If the call routes to a device in our remote partition, the call fails. The partitions seem to be setup in a geographical nature. If I change the CSS of the DN in the remote sire to the local CSS - the calls are successful.

How do I get the calls to route to the local and remote partitions? Looking for a couple suggestions.

Make sure the CSS of your Gateway includes all the partitions of your local and remote DN's. The Gateways CSS determines which partitions it can reach.
As a general rule, the Partition the DN is in determines who can call it, the CSS of a device determines who it can call.

Outstanding!!! Thanks for replying so quickly.

It was relatively easy as well...

Can you confirm my thinking is accurate?:

I assigned the h323 gateway a new CSS. The new CSS included all of the partitions that I wanted it to reach.

Partitions are assigend to the physical devices and their logical DNs.

CSSs are assigned to gateways and devices. They restrict or allow who and what you can call.

Again thanks
