Partitioning on hd drive Linux

I have a 20 gb hard drive , i'm wanting to partition a five gb partition to make a media drive.....i went full Linux i dont have Windows...... i an wanting To know of any Good partitioning tools for Linux ...& perhaps a Good place to download one

Use fdisk. All OSs comes with it (I think). It is very easy to use, just read the help for it before you start. //Daniel
 
Yeah i typed fdisk in the prompt Nothing ..:(
 
You have to type fdisk /dev/hda or whatever drive you want to format. //Daniel
 
As a general rule :)

Primary Master = /dev/hda
Primary Slave = /dev/hdb
Secondary Master = /dev/hdc
Secondary Slave = /dev/hdd
