Partition

I have two partitions on my SATA HDD with NTFS file system, running Win XP SP2.
Partition 1 (C : 80GB (has win XP)
Partition 2 (D : 170GB
I want to reduce the size of partition 1 to 40 GB and allocate the remaining 40 GB to second partition 2

I know that there are expensive tools available in the market, like Partition Magic, Partition Commander etc.

Is there any free tool, that can be downloaded with which we can achieve this.

But whatever you do, BACKUP vital data before you do it. Even the best partitioning tools can go wrong.
