Hello,

I have a W2k3 server running SQL server 2005 which is running out of space on C:\ I need to use a partitioning software to move some of the free space from D:\ to C:\.

Has anyone used Acronis Disk Director Server? It was recommended to us by one of our consultants. I have looked for reviews but have not found too much. Mostly marketing stuff.

Anyone have experience with it or seen any reviews of it?

Thanks,
Daniel Joaquin

Not used that. But would help to know more about your server. Are you using a raid array?

I have found that ShadowProtect is awesome. It will let you make an image of your server and then restore that image to larger drives.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

I have used Acronis before not that specific product though. I remember it working well.

Personally I keep it simple with like partition magic. I have used it for years never had any data deleted. Could always plug up an external or another internal and copy your material to it then partition just to stay on the safe side.
