I have a Hitachi 160G drive. The max size for partitions was found to be only 32G max size. This package may have been opened before. I think it is possible it was preformatted. WOuld it be possible to still get the 160G?

I zeroed out the whole drive, I looked in FDISK and Partition Magic as well as Partition Commander. All for some reason did not see the 160G and only saw 33G.

Is there some software you can recommend or have you come across resolution of this problem?

Thanks for your assistance

lonmae,
Look at the jumper on the back of the drive as it may have the 32G set as enabled. If so, simply remove it.

Thank you for your reply.

It turns out a 32G max WAS placed by an incorrectly placed jumper.
I just jumpered it to the right position and now its doing well. thanks.
