I have a huge problem in that I deleted my primary partition containing my os. The reason that I did this was because a bunch of windows registery files were corrupted. So I thought to myself just delete the partition and put xp on it, everything will be fine. Problem is that xp didn't recognize any of the programs on the other partitions. The os is on the first partition and the others are in an extention. I think this is the reason for the problem, the extention. How do I get rid of the extention.

use partition magic to convert the other partition to NTFS file system

erm, are you actually saying that your newly installed xp won't run those old programs that you installed on your previous os?

if that's the case then, there's nothing you can do apart from reinstall all the older programs...

By deleting your old os, you've deleted all the registry keys, links, settings that were stored in windows, and there's no way you can get them back...
