Hi,
This is a crazy question, but is there a way to put only a partial border around a text box? For example, put a black border around 3 out of the 4 sides, and leave 1 side transparent?

The reason is, I want to combine 2 text boxes, and have the border around only the outer edges of each, with no border in-between.

For example:
-- ------------------
| 75 43% |
---------------------

instead of
-- ------------------
| 75 | 43% |
---------------------

I have a large grid-like report, and am hoping I don't have to manually put in vertical lines.

Thank you,
Lori

Is there any reason you can't just draw a Rectangle around the text boxes and set it's Back Style to Transparent?

Oops, I can't believe I didn't even think of that, newbie that I am!!!!
Thanks, Dave!!! Looks great...

why don't you just combine the 2 texstboxes to one (unbound) textbox?, like in this example below where two names are combined into one control

Countrol source =[StudentNameLast] & ", " & [StudentNameFirst]

Pampers.

Thanks, Pampers, that is another option, too...
(have already done it the rectangular box way, but thanks for the idea).
