partener messaging unified messaging 2

help a nortel guy out?

customer has unified messaging. It was working for one user then miraculously stopped working. I searched customers PC and i do not see any partner messaging software.

any ideas as to why it stopped working?
 
It's not client side software. The software probably resides on their exchange server. If they did an update, that could have made it stop working.
 
blame it on the it guys... LOVE IT lol

Guess number
1: Different email address
2: Browser proxy settings have changed
3: Typed the wrong url into the address bar.
4: Plus many more.

Perhaps you should detail that steps taken to access unified messaging for the user then describe the exact location where it fails and what the symptoms of the failure.

While waiting you could also goto support.avaya.com and download the docs including install, config and user. There is a good chance that you can solve the issue after reading the material.

ok so had their IT people check the users exchange settings and nothing has changed.

they said they found a record of her receiving emails from her vmail and then it just stopped a few weeks ago

i got into the partner messaging software and double checked the configuration.

everything is configured right. I also configured the parnter messaging to send me email alerts for any errors.

i left her a test message and never got an email alert.

im stumped
 
i think i found the problem...

do i have to do anything to upload the changes (reboot, etc) ?
 
thanks for all the help... in the end it was just the client attempting to get a free configuration of a new mailbox

ended up building new mailbox with unified messaging and works fine
