I have just tried to install a Partener Messaging 7.0 into a Partner ACS 6.0 to replace an older but still working Mail VS 4.0. Installed it in slot 4 of a 5 slot. VMS hunt group 7 is set to extensions 36 - 39. The VM will not answer incoming calls, I just get "You're call is being transferred" and then it rings x10 immediately. For some reason the ACS does not see the VMS extensions. I can dial the VM from any extension and it answers so I think it is set up correctly but it won't answer an incomong call. Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

Do you have the right port card in it? You will need to put the ports in hunt 7. Then assign the lines to that hunt. #206 i think. Check your ports. Call the extension numbers of the ports. The ones that answer are the only ones needed in hunt 7. Also did you remove the old ports. I think they number differently than the older messaging.

Both VS Mail and Partner Messaging are seen as a 6 port card to the Partner processor.

But....VS Mail uses the LAST 2 or 4 ports, while the Partner Messaging uses the FIRST 2, 4, or 6 ports.

So, you need to remove 38 and 39, and add 34 and 35 on Hunt Group 7

Problem solved. Thanks for helping.
