Parsing information entered in a HTML form into a SHockwave movie???

Hi, I'm working on an assignment for UNI and wood like to get the following
working.

I'm building and online game using director, and would like to secure the
game by making the user login first. The login will take the form of a standard
html page where a user can enter the details or sign up for an account. The
account details will then be stored in a database.

Once the user submits the form, and using ASP I check to see that the user
exist etc. The next page will open containing the Shockwave Movie. I would
like to import the username field from the form into the shockwave movie to
make the Multi User Server connection.

Any suggestions on how to get the form data into the Shockwave movie??
