After having worked with the registry, I would now like to write a program that effectivley stores some user settings in a text file (I could call it settings.cfg or something similar). I would like to open the files within my program and parse it line by line for commands. Could someone tell me the main commands I should look up or perhaps point me to a website. Sample scripts would be great.

TIA

Raymond

Heh, seems like i am mentioning these API calls alot lately.

Look at GetProfileInt and WriteProfileInt, and any other get and write profile API calls. THis handles alot of the processing for you. It will write an INI file in the system directory.
