Merlin MAGIX 2.2, Hybrid/PBX mode.

Just starting to look at using Park Zones. I see that when an incoming call is put on hold, the caller hears ringing until someone picks up that park zone.

While the ringing lets the caller know they are still connected, I would find it annoying to hear - some of our calls may be on hold for as much as 15 minutes.

Is there any way to turn the ringing off? I looked at the Music-On-Hold and configured it to one of our empty trunks - but it doesn't seem to change anything for me. Granted, I don't have the connections to hook up an audio source to that trunk port, so maybe the MAGIX system sees nothing hooked to it and ignores my configuration for music-on-hold.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Sheldon

the caller should not hear ringing while parked. Are you sure the call is being parked properly?

Check the Transfer options, and see if MOH or Ringing is selected.

On my system (legend R7) with MOH configured, outside callers hear musich when configured, inside callers hear ringback. If you had MOH configured, but no MOH source, I would expect outside callers to get silence.

Thanks Pepperz! I had my port selected for music on hold, but didn't have the transfer option setup correctly.

Now it works the way I would expect it to - silence if no music source is hooked up.
