I have a customer who wants all of thier calls to be answered by a live person, but when they ask for a specific department, they want the call to to be parked and paged automatically by pressing a button, with a pre-recorded voice, "bakery, call holding on line 1."

I know Toshiba has something that will do that for them, any ideas on the nortel, BCM or MICs? I will also post in the Norstar forum.

Thanks

BCM can do park and page, not sure about the MICS. It's not automatic - it's invoked from a CCR tree. If the auto attendant answers the call, and option 1 is for the bakery, when a caller presses 1, the system will park the call and make an announcement saying "Bakery, call on 101". You need to record the "bakery" part - call on 101 is canned, but can be customized as well.

You could transfer calls to a CCR that parks/pages, but it'll be just as many keystrokes, if not more, as the attendant parking the call, and paging his/her self.
