what is the best way to see the actual SQL is being run and the parameters passed. I can't use SQL Profiler so I'm hoping there's a similar tool in .net somewhere.

thanks. I'm still fighting to get it.

on a brighter note I did solve my immediate problem - those stupid default values in parameter setup -- I put quotes around a string.
