Parameters missing from Select Expert

Hello,
I have version XI R2 and i am having an issue with the select expert. I have created a parameter called Date_Entered_Range and it has a checkmark to show it is being used in the report. When i go to Select Expert and try to choose it to filter on it doesn't show any formulas or parameter fields that i have setup. It only shows the Database fields and the Groups that are setup.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening.

The Select Expert matches by field type and thinks that date and dat-time fields/parameters are different.

If you want proper control over your record selection, use the menu item Report/Selection Formula/Record and use a formula to control the record selection
