Crystal is using a SQL Server 7 DB for data. I have a report which requires a start and end job date. The start date and end date are stored in an Access table name DateParam.

How can I tell Crystal to query the Access DB for the date parameters?

This is a known issue. Crystal does not report a MS Access query with parameters as a datasource. Attach instead to the raw .mdb file, and add the parameters and record selection criteria on the crystal side.

dgillz: I don't think that they're using a MS Query.

Add the table to the report.

To create parameters, select Insert->Field Object->right click parameters and select new.

Make the parameter a Range type.

Now to make it work with the database, select Report->Edit Selection Formula->Record, and place something like:

{table.datefile} = {?MyDateParm}
