parameters and Select Expert

Hello,
I am very new to Crystal and I want to double check what I'm thinking. I have two fields that are parameters and for each field I have used the select expert to say table1.YR_CDE = ?YR_CDE. This way when the user enters the year the report will pull records pertaining to that year. Is this possible?
I'm using Crystal Reports version 10.

You nailed it. This is exactly how this would work. The only thing I would do different is edit the selection formula rather than use the select expert. Just a personal preference of mine.
