parameters and datetime format

I am very new in crystal report and am trying to build a report to search between date and times (times is not important here) on daily, monthly and yearly basis from the AR.Remedy 4.0 helpdesk application. The datetime format from the Remedy is 3/21/2002 12:15:41 PM.

I am try to set parameters so that my manager and other user selects any day from the list ie: 3/21/2002(daily)3/1/2002 to 3/31/2002 (monthly) etc...

Can anyone help me out with an example on how to get this to work?? Thank you very much!

In the select expert change your formula to say:

month(date field) = month(date parameter)
