Hi!!!
I have a query that has a paremeter that i use to filter my records. My question is, how can i get the value of the parameter keyed-in by the user and use it in the report or diplay that on the report? Is it possible?

Hope you can help me. thanks!!!

Hi

Well you can do it the 'Mickey Mouse' way, that is say you have a column OrderNumber in your query, and the criteria is a specific Order Number you want the user to specify at run time, you just put [Enter Order Number] in the criteria field and at run time Access will pop up a dialog box asking user for the Order Number.

But the 'neat' and user friendly way to do this, is to have a form containing a text box of combo box or whatever (depending on data to be entered), where the user can enter the parameter value (say the form is called MyForm and the control containing the parameter is my parameter is MyParam, then you set the criteria of the query to Forms!MyForm!MyParam. You have a button on your form which runs the report Regards
