This is for VB.net 2003 and SQL 2000 Reporting Services. VB.net is calling the reports by using URL's. The problem is whenever a "#" sign is in any of the parameters passed through the URL, the report displays the report parameters and does not run the report even though I have rc:parameters=False. Everything works fine as long as the "#" sign is not in any of the parameters. Do I need to "Escape" the "#" sign or alter the string passed in some other manner?

would expect you will need to use the url code for # (%23 I believe)

You're getting this issue as # is used to describe a fragment in html (bookmark or anchor)

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Thanks Geoff, I will try it today.

Geoff, worked great. Thanks again.

as a note the rc:parameters=False won't do anything as it just hides the parameter area of the report. It doesn't actually change the url or stop the parameter being used in the url...

Good to know it worked for you [thumbsup]
