I have a report where there's a parameter that gives the user the option to view single sessions. A single session is a session where the combination of date, time and location occurs once. So, I grouped the single sessions so single sessions can either be suppressed or not depending on what the user selects as the parameter ((Y)es or (N)o). Else if they choose (N)o then they will see only sessions where the combination of date, time and location occurs more than once.

I have the contacts associated with each session in a subreport. If a user elects to view single sessions with contacts, then there isn't a problem. If a user chooses to not to view single sessions, I still show all of the contacts.

When I try to link the main and subreport via the session, date or any combination, I still get all of the contacts. How can I tell the subreport to suppress records based on a
parameter used for suppression?

Thanks in advance...

You are not describing your report properly for a definate answer.

Do you want the whole subreport suppressed based on the parameter or just the "session" within the subreport?

If it is just the session within a report just create assign the parameter to a shared variable in the report header and it can then easily be passed into the subreport for use there.

The quality of the answer is directly proportional to the quality of the problem statement!
