hi all,

i am using crystal report 7 and vb 6.0 . I am passing a value from vb to crystal
using the Parameters. But the problem is , crystal supports the parameters only
if the length is less than 255. Is there any work around to send a value from
vb to crystal. Actually i am sending a description and it can be very big.
I just display that string in the crystal. It is simple. But since crystal deosnt support
more than 255, everytime, when i run, it asks for the Input screen for that parameter.

can anyone help me.

thanks

You can split it into two smaller pieces and then re-combine them in Crystal.

To combine two strings in Crystal that are over a combined length of 255 you can't use a formula, but you can put both fields into a single text object. This will allow you to display them as one object. Ken Hamady
