I have created the attached parameter into a report. The field is integer and linked to a SQL database

It asks for the order number when I refresh the report, but then goes through every order number and then displays all the orders not just the one I have entered. Any ideas why the parameter is not just picking up the order number I have entered?

Attached is a screen shot of how the parameter is set up currently

Thanks

Make sure you used the parameter in your record selection:

{yourOrdernumberField} = {?yourParameter}

Hi

Sorry don't quite understand what you mean. When I refresh the report it asks for the ordernumber but when I enter one it goes through all orders, I can seem to make it just look and bring up the order only with that order number?

Thanks

Setting up the parameter is the first step. The next step is to make it part of your record selection.
On your menu bar: Report / Selection Formulas / Record - In the formula box:

{yourOrdernumberFieldName} = {?yourParameterName}
