'Parameter is Incorrect' error received during installation

Error is received on both Win 2003 Server box & a XP SP2 box.

didn't find much on BO/SAP site either
Any help is appreciated...

learned today that the user was installing from the setup files copied to his local machine. He stated this has worked previously with the same files.

Installing from the CDs fixed this issue.
