Hello,

Forgive me if this has been asked before, but,

Running CR10 and MS SQL 2000.

Is it possible to have a parameter for input on a grouping by Top N - Top 10, Top 20, Top 50, etc and basically, have the report display the Top N based on a selection/input by user?

Let me know if I need to clarify.

Thanks!

I'm not sure whether you have a conditional formula option in your group sort expert in CR 10. If you do, just enter the parameter in the topN x+2 formula area:

{?topN}

Otherwise, you can use section suppression on your group header or footer (wherever your summaries are) by using a formula:

groupnumber > {?topN}

If you have multiple groups, you would have to use a running total that counted the distinct group instances instead of groupnumber.
